  • You may submit this form in person at 9060 Seneca Trail, Parsons WV 26287 or fax to 304-478-2085.

    • To request a road name, complete and submit the Tucker County Request for Road Name application to the Tucker County Mapping and Addressing Office.

    1. Uniformity: Each road should have one correct name for emergency services and postal delivery.

    2. Necessity: Roads with two or more residences or those needing emergency access should be named.

    3. Uniqueness: Avoid duplicate names within the same ZIP code or emergency service zone, ideally throughout the county.

Addressing Ordinance Compliance

Under the Tucker County Addressing Ordinance, it is mandatory for property owners to procure and display the correct number for their property. Numbers must be affixed to each house or building within thirty (30) days of notification of the assigned address.

Residential, commercial, industrial, and other structures have specific guidelines for displaying address numbers. These guidelines include the size, visibility, and placement of numbers to ensure they are clearly visible from the public right-of-way.

Responsibility of Property Owners

The responsibility of posting the address and complying with the ordinance lies with the property owner. This includes affixing the number in the specified manner and bearing any costs associated with compliance.
